A Pair of IDEAL Manual Conduit Benders
Description
This lot consists of two manual conduit benders used for shaping electrical conduit. The tools feature hollow steel pipe handles with a blue painted finish. The upper tool is fitted with a hickey-style bender head, designed for shorter-radius bends in heavier conduit. The lower tool features a standard bender head with an integrated foot pedal and a curved track for EMT. Both handles have worn blue and white adhesive labels with the readable printed name IDEAL. The lower bender head has the name IDEAL cast into the metal in relief alongside degree increments of 10, 22, 30, 45, and 60.
Condition report:
The tools exhibit significant signs of industrial use and wear. Both blue steel handles show extensive paint loss and surface rust throughout their length (photo 1). The adhesive labels are peeling and degraded with only partial legibility (photo 1). The cast metal heads show surface dirt and cosmetic wear but appear structurally sound and complete (photo 1).
