Description
A collection of five retired municipal road and advisory signs constructed of heavy-gauge aluminum with reflective and painted finishes. The grouping includes one large vertical rectangular caution sign with a yellow reflective honeycomb background and black text reading SHARE THE ROAD. One standard octagonal regulatory sign features a red field with a white border and STOP in white text; this sign includes a metal mounting bracket attached to the top edge. A vertical rectangular regulatory sign with a white background and black border displays the text SPEED LIMIT 20 in black. A small vertical rectangular advisory sign shows a green bicycle icon above black text reading YIELD TO PEDS. The final item is a small horizontal rectangular sign with black text stating NO TRESPASSING VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED. Each sign is manufactured with pre-drilled holes for mounting. No maker marks, manufacturer labels, or dates are visible on the front surfaces of the items.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits an authentic road-worn appearance with surface scuffs, scratches, and abrasions throughout, consistent with outdoor municipal service. The STOP sign shows significant fading to the red pigment and multiple deep scratches across the face (photo 1). The SPEED LIMIT 20 sign has notable brown staining and road grime across the lower third of the sign face (photo 1). The SHARE THE ROAD sign displays scattered black scuff marks and minor surface dirt (photo 1). The YIELD TO PEDS sign shows wear along the edges and minor discoloration to the white field (photo 1).
