A Section of Steel Railroad T-Rail
Description
This is a short, salvaged section of industrial T-rail constructed from heavy-gauge steel. The segment features the standard railroad track profile, including a wide, flat base, a vertical central web, and a rounded head. The ends of the piece appear to be roughly and unevenly cut. There are no maker marks, rolling stamps, weight designations, or date codes visible on any of the surfaces shown.
Condition report:
The steel shows heavy oxidation and rusted surfaces throughout (photo 1). Extensive pitting is visible across the head, web, and base (photo 2). Accumulated organic debris and dirt are present on the central web (photo 1). The ends are roughly cut and uneven (photo 1).
