Description
An assortment of used fishing gear. The group includes a large landing net featuring a teardrop-shaped aluminum frame and a knotted synthetic fiber mesh. The net is mounted to a weathered wooden handle with a metal ferrule and a gold-tone reinforcement sleeve. The collection also includes several dark-colored composite or fiberglass fishing rod sections. These sections are equipped with textured black grips and multiple line guides. Two red and white plastic clip-on bobbers are included in the bundle. No manufacturer names, model numbers, or other maker’s marks are legible on any of the items. The rod sections are currently secured together with blue adhesive painter’s tape.
Condition report:
The items show evidence of moderate to heavy use. The netting shows areas of discoloration and light fraying (photo 1). The aluminum hoop exhibits surface oxidation and scratches (photo 2). The wooden handle is weathered with surface wear and some loss of finish (photo 1). The rod sections are bundled with blue tape, which may leave adhesive residue (photo 1). Wear is visible on the rod guides and the textured grips (photo 2).
