Description
A contemporary mixed media painting executed on a long, vertical rectangular wooden panel. The work is rendered in a vibrant, gestural style using a combination of spray paint and black marker. The composition features three distinct visual elements arranged vertically. The upper portion shows a stylized face in black marker over a yellow spray-painted field with orange splatters. The face displays simplified features including arched eyebrows and a wavy mouth. The central section contains a large blue ring with a yellow-green interior, outlined in thick black marker with five radiating black triangular spikes. The lower section features a large orb with red and pink horizontal stripes set against a green background, displaying prominent vertical red paint drips. The entire background is composed of blended, soft-edged fields of yellow, green, and blue spray paint with visible overspray. The wooden support is a raw, unfinished board with unpainted edges and no frame. A black marker inscription at the top left of the panel reads Baby Sun / From tellietubbies. Condition report:
The wooden support shows raw, irregular edges with minor scuffing and a small area of crushing or loss at the lower right corner (photo 2). The paint surface displays intentional drips and overspray consistent with the mixed media application. General surface dust and minor scuffs are present across the panel (photo 1). No major losses or repairs to the paint layer are visible.
