A Glazed Ceramic Upright Piano and Bluebird Figurine
Description
A glazed ceramic decorative figurine modeled in the form of a stylized upright piano. The piece is finished in a cream-colored glaze and features painted black piano keys and black markings representing a musical score on a raised central panel. Two gold-gilded foot pedals are situated at the base. A bluebird with outspread wings, decorated in shades of blue and white with a yellow beak, is positioned at the front of the piano before a hollow interior opening. A small white rectangular adhesive label is adhered to the left side with the handwritten number 7.5. No maker marks, factory stamps, or country-of-origin marks are visible.
Condition report:
The figurine appears to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the bird\'s wings or the piano\'s edges (photo 1). Minor dark kiln specks are visible within the glaze, which is a common result of the manufacturing process. A small adhesive price label and some surrounding adhesive residue are present on the left side (photo 1). The gold gilding on the pedals appears largely intact.
