A 1972 American Hand-Painted Ceramic Platter Signed Zenobra
Description
An American oval glazed earthenware platter featuring a scalloped rim with molded scroll-work details. The platter is decorated with a hand-painted botanical motif including a cluster of dark red berries, green foliage, and small white blossoms with yellow centers, all set against a pale, mottled green-gray ground. The base of the platter features the impressed characters USA. Centered on the underside is a hand-painted signature in dark pigment that reads Zenobra ’72.
Condition report:
The platter exhibits overall crazing to the glaze. There is visible brownish discoloration and staining on the front surface, most notably near the upper rim and within the floral design (photo 1). No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the provided images.
