Harmony House Silver Melody Fine China Oval Vegetable Dish
Description
A Japanese white fine china oval serving dish produced for Harmony House in the Silver Melody pattern, number 3647. The vessel is designed with two integrated tab handles and features a minimalist decoration consisting of a thin silver-toned band along the outer rim and handle edges, with a matching concentric ring encircling the interior well. The base bears a black printed backstamp featuring a stylized building graphic above two small circles, each containing the letter D. Below this is a banner reading HARMONY HOUSE, followed by the words FINE CHINA and the pattern number 3647. A second banner below reads SILVER MELODY, and the bottom line is marked JAPAN.
Condition report:
The dish shows multiple areas of surface discoloration and small brown stains, visible on the interior and along the lower exterior edge (photo 2). There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
