A Set of Ceramic Nesting Bowls and Plates with Yellow Banded Decoration
Description
A set of glazed ceramic dinnerware consisting of nesting bowls and circular plates. The pieces feature a creamy white ground decorated with multiple concentric bands of bright yellow-orange. The bowls are formed with rounded sides and flared rims, designed to nest together. The plates share the same color palette and banded motif. No maker’s marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible on the undersides or surfaces of the items shown. A small slip of paper is visible inside the uppermost bowl in one image, but it does not contain legible manufacturer or brand information. The glaze shows occasional small dark specks and minor irregularities consistent with the kiln firing process.
Condition report:
The set is in used condition. One bowl exhibits a prominent vertical crack extending from the rim down through the banded decoration (photo 2). The pieces show minor surface wear, including small scuffs and fine scratches consistent with age and utility. Small dark spots of kiln debris and glaze pops are visible on several pieces (photo 1).
