Cast Brass Pineapple Motif Wall Sconce
Description
A cast brass wall sconce featuring a textured backplate in the form of a pineapple. The body of the fruit is detailed with overlapping scales, flanked by radiating leaves at the base and a crown of leaves at the top. A single curved arm extends from the base to support a turned candle cup and a circular drip pan. A small blue circular inset is positioned at the center of the bottom leaves. A mounting hole is located at the apex of the pineapple crown. The piece exhibits a varied golden-toned patina. No maker marks, labels, or country-of-origin stamps are visible on the object.
Condition report:
The sconce shows signs of age. General surface tarnish and scattered minor pitting are visible across the backplate (photo 1, 2).
