Lot 93:
Description
A single rustic earthenware or terra cotta planter or cachepot, dated 1935. The object features a tapered profile and a heavily textured, mottled reddish-brown exterior finish, contrasted by a smooth, dark brown interior. The exterior surface exhibits the intentional roughness and minor imperfections typical of textured pottery. A prominent decorative element includes a raised, twisted rope band encircling the rim. Impressed onto the exterior body is the visible text “PRADO” situated above the date “1935.” The use of the keywords Prado 1935 emphasizes the visible markings on the piece. Measures approximately 5.5″ tall x 7″ diameter.
