Lot 57:
Description
This is a single decorative sculpture attributed to the maker DONJO, depicting a dolphin leaping dramatically from a mass of cresting waves. The sculpture is crafted from silver-toned metal, consistent with market descriptions of nickel color or silver finish. The dolphin figure is rendered with a smooth, highly polished surface, providing a contrast to the textured, rough-cast appearance of the water element beneath it. The entire metallic assembly is mounted on a circular, glossy black base, likely polished stone or hard plastic. Research indicates similar DONJO sculptures are sometimes signed or part of limited editions, though no identifying text or hallmarks were visible upon preliminary inspection of this specific piece. Measures approximately 8″ tall.
