Description
A single lidded ceramic vessel identified as a covered bean pot, attributed to L. Beaumont pottery and signed L.L 2003. The utilitarian form features a rounded body of stoneware or earthenware construction, covered in a thick, glossy, deep reddish-brown or burgundy glaze, consistent with “cranberry red” glazes seen in American red clay pottery. The lower body exhibits subtle horizontal banding. The coordinating fitted lid is topped by a low central knob handle. The vessel is intended for storage or cooking, typical of vintage USA crock ware. Measures approximately 4″ tall and 3.5″ across.
