Description
A single glazed stoneware specialty bowl, likely intended for use as an apple baker or fruit spiker, characterized by a conical protrusion located centrally within the interior basin. The vessel is constructed of pottery, likely stoneware, featuring decorative horizontal ribbing around the exterior walls. The main body and interior basin are covered in a high-gloss, deep reddish-brown glaze. The wide rim is accented with a contrasting dark emerald green glaze, which bleeds slightly into the interior brown field. The circular area immediately surrounding the central spike is finished with a pale greenish-blue/white glaze. No discernible maker’s marks, text, or signatures are visible.Measures approximately 6″ across.
