Description
A large globular ceramic planter or bowl produced by Craven Pottery, Gillsville, GA. The vessel is composed of earthenware or terracotta and features a squat profile with a wide, slightly inverted rim, characteristic of mid-20th-century studio pottery. The exterior is covered in a vibrant high-gloss speckled glaze in mottled shades of bright orange, red, and yellow. The unglazed terracotta base bears impressed manufacturer markings reading US, CRAVEN POTTERY, and GILLSVILLE GA. Measures 8″ from widest part of the sides and 6″ deep.
