A Set of Four Hand-Painted Porcelain Demitasse Cups and Three Saucers
Description
A collection of four porcelain demitasse cups and three saucers. Each cup is designed with a wide flared bowl supported by a distinctive fluted pedestal foot modeled in a shell motif, and is equipped with an ornate multi-scroll handle. The set features individually hand-painted floral sprays, including white dogwood blossoms and blue forget-me-nots, set against pastel-toned grounds of mint green, cream, and pale yellow. The rims, handles, and pedestal bases are accented with gold gilding. The underside of a saucer (photo 3) is hand-inscribed in gold script reading Huson – Aunt Zenobia .74. The underside of a cup (photo 2) is hand-inscribed in gold script reading Zenobia 74 and includes a small hand-painted floral bud. No manufacturer mark is legible.
Condition report:
The collection is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or professional repairs. Minor, age-appropriate wear is present on the gold gilding of the rims and handles (photo 1, photo 4).
