Description
A contemporary marine art print by Robert Wyland titled Aumakua and the Ancient Voyagers. The composition features a vertical scene of a shark swimming through brilliant shafts of light in an underwater environment, set against dark rock formations and a glowing red celestial orb. A signature is visible on the right side of the print, oriented vertically and reading WYLAND 2002. The piece is housed in a light-toned wood frame and presented with a double-matted display that includes a blue outer mat and an oval-cut interior mat.
Condition report:
The plexi-glass has a significant multi-point crack in the lower right corner with fractures extending across the corner of the matting (photo 1). The print surface appears well-preserved behind the glass, though surface glare is present in the photograph.
