Mexican Cast Iron Double Handle Oval Griddle
Description
A Mexican cast iron griddle of oval form, featuring two integral loop handles at the ends. The base is marked with a circular impressed mark. The mark contains the text HECHO in an upper arch and MEXICO in a lower arch, with the characters EN positioned to the right of the center. A stylized logo consisting of two characters is centered within the mark, though it is not legible as a name.
Condition report:
Significant oxidation and heavy surface rust are visible across the griddle cooking surface (photo 1). The underside and handles also exhibit heavy oxidation and surface rust (photo 2). No cracks or structural breaks are visible to the cast iron body or handles. The item is in as-found condition and requires professional cleaning and re-seasoning before use.
