Lot 104:
Description
A single octagonal serving tray attributed to Scott Peppers Folk Art. The tray is constructed of painted metal or composite material, featuring integrated side handles and a decorative cut-out repeating pattern along the rim. The interior surface is finished in a speckled bright red base with numerous white dots. The surface is dominated by a large central design of a stylized green fish marked with black scales, a red mouth, and a large eye. Blue wavy lines rise from the fish’s body. The piece is signed “Scott Peppers” in black script near the tail of the fish. This piece is characteristic of the artist’s whimsical folk art style.
