Lot 80:
Description
A contemporary folk art panel by Scott Peppers, depicting the biblical subject of Adam & Eve. The work is executed in heavy, opaque paint (likely acrylic or oil) directly onto a corrugated galvanized metal sheet, consistent with the style of outdoor murals referenced in the web context. The naive, highly stylized composition shows a bearded man and a blonde woman, both minimally clothed in leaf garments, standing among trees. A black and yellow striped serpent is visible winding around the figures, and the woman holds a red apple. The piece is signed in the lower right corner “Scott Peppers.” Measures approximately 24″x 36″.
