Lot 74:
Description
A single decorative ceramic boot vase attributed to Victoria Ware Ironstone. The object is executed in white ironstone with cobalt blue underglaze transfer decoration, featuring stylized floral motifs, scrolling vines, and a banded rim around the opening. The form includes a high shaft, pointed toe, and low block heel, likely intended as a vase or spill holder. The decoration style is reminiscent of the Blue Onion or Flow Blue patterns. The base bears a prominent blue transfer-printed maker’s mark consisting of a complex coat of arms or crest featuring a lion rampant and elaborate surrounding ornamentation, consistent with Victoria Ware attribution. Measures approximately 8″ tall.
