Description
A piece of contemporary folk art executed in a naive or primitive style, painted on a corrugated panel of tin and metal. The composition features a vibrant tropical scene dominated by a prominent pink palm tree and a smaller purple palm tree. Beneath the palms stand two highly stylized female figures dressed in bikinis. The background is a dark brown, textured field speckled with turquoise dots, set against a yellow sun. The foreground includes a purple agave-like plant and a strip of green water or grass containing four spotted green fish figures. The work is signed in white capital letters in the bottom right corner: SCOTT PEPPERS. Measures approximately 24″x 36″
