Lot 37:
Description
A single mid-20th century fine ceramic or porcelain serving dish, likely intended as a tidbit tray or bon bon dish. The shallow vessel features a scalloped rim with molded relief work and is finished with a delicate gold border. The center is fitted with a raised finger loop, accented with bright gold gilt. The dish is hand-painted with a naturalistic floral motif featuring white daisies and pale blue forget-me-nots set against a soft pastel wash ground. The decoration is signed by the artist and dated on the surface near the floral stems: JURHEC ’63.
