Description
An original painting executed in acrylic on canvas, depicting a close-up, frontal portrait of a Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca). The artwork is rendered in a contemporary folk or naive style, featuring textured white fur for the panda’s head against a bright purple background. The panda is decorated with branches of bright pink cherry blossoms (sakura) across the top of the head. The work is signed and dated at the bottom center in black paint: “Jason M. Smith ’20.”
