Description
A framed vintage commercial advertisement print for Lucky Strike Cigarettes. The print is executed in color on paper or board and is housed within a dark wood molded frame. Research suggests this advertisement dates to approximately 1931, a period when the brand heavily promoted the “It’s toasted” campaign. The design features a central male figure looking toward the viewer. Dominant text includes the brand name “LUCKY STRIKE CIGARETTE” set within a red circular motif. Key advertising copy includes the warning “BEWARE OF IRRITATION” across the top and the famous slogan “It’s toasted” below. Additional text claims, “Toasting removes dangerous irritants that cause Throat irritation and Coughing.” The print is typical of commercial advertising from the early 1930s.
