Lot 20:
Description
A pair of vintage steins manufactured by Federal Glass, executed in iridescent white milk glass, commonly known as carnival glass or lusterware. The tall, cylindrical bodies are molded in high relief, featuring the popular Tavern Scene pattern, which depicts a central figure in historic costume. The rim is banded by a braided rope pattern. Each stein features an attached handle and a flared base. The interior base of one stein features raised molded markings, including the partially visible text “PROOF,” the full text “USA,” and a shield logo enclosing a letter ‘T’ or similar device, along with the number ‘9’ adjacent to the shield, indicating probable American manufacture.
