A single antique utilitarian stoneware crock featuring a tapered cylindrical form and a rolled rim. The vessel is finished in a heavy, dark reddish-brown slip glaze consistent with Albany Slip application, suggesting a late 19th-century date. The crock bears impressed stamps near the shoulder identifying the maker and location, reading T J. O. BOLS & COXTON / BURLINGTON, VT. Below the maker’s mark is the impressed capacity mark 1½, indicating a volume of one and a half gallons.
